Scottie Pippen’s Unfortunate Run At The Private Jet Lifestyle
Scottie Pippen…6-time NBA Champion, All-Star Game MVP, Top 50 NBA Player of All Time, and Scandinavian hoops phenom…is lucky that he made over $120 million while he was playing. Because he lost $32 million of it “investing”.
While Pippen was asleep at (or drunk behind) the wheel of his personal finances, his investment advisor found a way to lose $27 million of Scottie’s loot. On top of that, while Scottie Pippen was playing for the Portland Trailblazers, he was blowing money on chartered jets like Patrick Ewing blew money at The Gold Club.
Being the savvy investor that he is, Scottie decided to buy a Gulfstream II and lease it out when he wasn’t flying. Even though that is a standard practice among many jet owners, the Pippen Touch somehow turned that into non-payment on the jet and a $5 million judgment against him by the jet’s lender.
You’d think somebody named to the All-Defensive Team eight times would be able to protect their cash.
